Well, it's finally here! Only six years late, but hey.
The archives have been opened, digitized and are presented here for you to laugh at.

In the summer of 1996, three drunkards from Margate, Kent decided to form a band that would change forever the way that people stand around in pubs listening to music. For one thing, it's pretty hard to put your fingers in your ears when you've got a pint to take care of.
The initial line-up consisted of:
YEN
Vocals, guitar and lyrics

Northern, likes a drink.
Enjoys Star Wars, loud music and playing video games.

It's basic, but it's up.

REED
Bass and vocals

Southern, also likes a drink.

Enjoys Star Wars, driving too fast and going out.
ALAN
Drums

Southern, the drinking's a given.

Enjoys Star Wars, drinking too much, and LOVES Chelsea.
Now the eagle-eyed among you will have noticed that drinking and Star Wars are a constant there. They're the kind of thing that gives you stuff to do together when you're not standing around in a barn in the middle of nowhere making too much noise.

Alas, tensions in the band meant that Alan only stuck around for about a year. In June '97, he was replaced by:
CHRIS
Drums

Southern, drinks Jack Daniel's.

Also enjoys Star Wars, Star Trek and pounding the crap out of his drum kit for several bands.
Ulcer continued (successfully, mind!) until around late 1999 when they decided they couldn't really be bothered with it any more. Which, when you think about it, has got to be the best reason for stopping. None of that 'musical differences' rubbish, it was just getting to be too much like an effort.

The final nail in the cofin was when the UDC Accoustics, a side-project by Reed and Yen, supported Ulcer and got a better reaction. You'd think that would be encouragement for the Acoustic band, but that was only ever meant to be a laugh.

So there we go. There's no plans for a re-union at the moment, but never say never eh?
